Hi guitar lovers, my name is Mirko and i am a guitar maker in the uk. I am planning to beguin making pick ups for my guitars but i struggle to find a good winder . I`ve contacted Stew Mac and they sell one but i has very bad revews about it. Strang since Stew Mac are simply brilliant at everything they doo. Anyway, can anyone help?

Hi Mirko, Welcome to the forum.

I had a look into doing this a couple of years back, and then found very mixed reviews on the stew mac winder.
The most cost effective way I found is to build your own, not personally done it but apparently with a bit of know how its quite simple.

I've seen a few successful attempts with a drill, a sowing machine and even an old record player.
