I'm Excited...

Just managed to get a good deal on a few blanks
Got enough for three Ash body blanks, and 3 birds eye maple neck blanks.

I've got idea's for two of them at the moment, I've been designing a guitar 'range' i guess. I'd love to be able to do some form of business from guitar making, done a couple in the past now, still need a few more attempts i think before i could consider selling them but i'll see how they go.

I have two blueprints in mind which i'm going to make templates of over the next couple of week, one a single cut away, the other a double cut away, they both need some work in my opinion until they're ready to be made, but i am excited

I'll be using them both to make various tutorials for the site, with plenty of pictures too for a good write up as i go.

As for the third, i havn't a clue. I shall be doing the other two first, and then see what i fancy doing with that one

Cool! Are they fairly plain ash, or figured? Will you put a figured veneer on the front? Or finish them opaque?

I started making a guitar. but never had time to finish it. I was really proud of the design, and it was going to have a 4mm bookmatched flame maple veneer front. I seem to remember the body was sycamore. It had a neat 2+4 headstock design and was semi-hollow. Maybe I'll start it again one day ..........

Think i might do a figured veneer for one and stain/oil that. Be nice to have two matching i guess, i'm such a fan of flamed maple tops. One blue and one red maybe. Or attempt a burst, hmm.
