PostSubject: Hi all   Hi all EmptySat Apr 24, 2010 11:51 pm

My name is John, I am a carpenter joiner by trade and have been making and repairing guitars for over 30 years. In 1996 I decided to learn how to make Acoustic guitars professionally, so I enrolled at the London Guildhall University for a two year BTEC HND course in Music Instrument Technology specialising in acoustic instruments, after successfully graduating from the course I was given the opportunity of staying on to complete a BSc Hons degree in the same subject. I am currently making and restring instruments on a part time basis.

If any forum members need any technical help feel free to contact me through the forums.

Best Regards,
John

PostSubject: A Newbie from Kintyre   Hi all EmptyMon Jun 21, 2010 10:53 am

Hi folks, I'm Harry from Kintyre in the Scottish Highlands. Where do you play bass up there I hear you ask ?. Well not to the sheep but at home. Moved up here a few years ago from Hayes in Middlesex. In a band playing the clubs around the area & in the big smoke. One of note would be the United Services Rendered Club in Chiswick..Met Tommy Cooper there & in a club in Harrow, played with Gary Wilmot. Still have my 60's Burns Wildcat & Sims Watt Amp with 4 lovely 15in speakers. As an aside, am "doing up" two basses. One an old Marlin & the other a Hohner Rockwood LX 90B...Great guns. A good site which I hope keeps going......Regards Hi all Icon_pirat
